Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that makes a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.
Six Flags Friends is a proud supporter of hundreds of organizations throughout our Six Flags communities. Through our national partnerships, we successfully utilize our geographic span to make a difference as a unified family of parks. Hurricane Harbor Chicago is also pleased to support the work of organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods. It is the work of the organizations below that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy.
Ticket Donations
The mission of Six Flags Friends is to deliver smiles and thrills to children and families across North America, from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Hurricane Harbor Chicago is pleased to assist qualified Illinois non-profit organizations with their fundraising efforts with a once a year donation. Hurricane Harbor Chicago prides itself on being involved in the community by helping local public non-profit organizations through in-kind donations of tickets.
The ticket donation program is CLOSED for the 2021 Season. Please check back in the spring for the 2022 ticket donation application.
Through our donation program we are able to contribute to many local organizations.
Give Kids the World
Six Flags Friends has been a proud partner of Give Kids The World for more than a decade. The Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) is a 70-acre, non-profit resort in Central Florida that creates magical memories for children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. GKTW provides accommodations at its whimsical resort, donated attractions tickets, meals and more for a week-long, cost-free fantasy vacation. With the help of many generous individuals, corporations such as Six Flags, and partnering wish-granting organizations. In addition, through the generous donation of admission tickets to the World Passport for Kids Program, children who have stayed at the Village, are able to visit their favorite local theme park free of charge, once they return home. Six Flags Friends has been a longtime member of the World Passport Program and each year welcomes thousands of children and their families for a day filled with fun.
Make-A-Wish Foundation
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Six Flags Friends is proud to be a part of this amazing wish-granting organization and is excited to fulfill the wishes of children who dream of visiting Hurricane Harbor Chicago.
Special Education District of Lake County Vocational Program
Six Flags Friends is committed to helping our local youth “Make Their Mark” on the world and to develop skills that will lead to successful careers. Hurricane Harbor Chicago is pleased to open our gates to the Students of the Special Education District of Lake County and to offer a fun and interactive summer education program. The program consists of a 30 minute class each day coupled with hands on experience of working in our park service and food service departments. The purpose of this vocational program is to teach the students job skills that will prepare them for employment after they graduate.
