Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that makes a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.
Six Flags Friends is a proud supporter of hundreds of organizations throughout our Six Flags communities. Through our national partnerships, we successfully utilize our geographic span to make a difference as a unified family of parks. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is also pleased to support the work of organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods. It is the work of these organizations that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy.
Six Flags Friends is dedicated to furthering the mission of the following organizations:
Project 6
Every year the employees of Hurricane Harbor Phoenix designate a Project 6 Day, a time to give back to the community. Project 6 is a day that our team of employees go out and do various projects such as painting, cleaning, landscaping, filling food boxes and minor repairs. Every year the park is looking to the community to help them find the right project where they can make a difference for a person, family or non-profit organization that has a need that may not have other resources to get that need met.
The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Emergency Disaster Services’ volunteers and staff work to deliver vital services – from providing relief and support to those in crisis, to helping the community be prepared to respond in emergencies. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix partners with The Salvation Army each summer for a bottled water drive. All donors that participate receive discounted admission to the park.
St. Mary’s Food Bank
St. Mary’s Food Bank exists to help feed hungry families throughout Phoenix and nine Arizona counties. St. Mary’s Food Bank serves to alleviate hunger through the gathering and distribution of food while encouraging self-sufficiency, collaboration, advocacy and education. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix donates food to St. Mary’s Food Bank each season and employees also volunteer at food distribution locations.
Maricopa County Parks and Recreation
Maricopa County is home to one of the largest regional parks systems in the nation with over 120,000 acres of open space parks that include hundreds of miles of trails, campgrounds, nature centers and the Desert Outdoor Environmental Learning Center. Their mission, through responsible stewardship, is to provide the quality parks, trails, programs, services and experiences that energize visitors and create life-long users and advocates. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is proud to partner with Maricopa County Parks and Recreation with ticket donations to support their summer learning programs.
Ticket Donations
The mission of Six Flags Friends is to deliver smiles and thrills to children and families across North America, from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix is pleased to assist qualified Arizona non-profit organizations with their fundraising efforts with a once a year donation. Hurricane Harbor Phoenix prides itself on being involved in the community by helping local public non-profit organizations through in-kind donations of tickets.
